got it. heres how to fix:
click start, then select run (Hopfully any real user will have the run button enabled)
type "C:\Program Files\Sun\VirtualBox\Drivers"
press enter
double click on vboxdrv
right click VBoxDrv.inf (i assume you file extensions set to show), select install
restart vrbx if its running
Just a comment on this question. Modern OSes reserve access to the hardware to ring 0, or protected mode. Thus, a guest OS has to have some method to access the hardware through the host OS, as it can't access it directly. This is done via a device driver.
