Jerky mouse when web browsers download web page

I just installed Redhat 9 with Mozilla 1.2.1. When I browse with Mozilla or Konqueror, the mouse becomes jerky but only when the browser is downloading a new web page content. This doesn't happen on other distributions (primarily used Mandrake).

Any ideas what might be causing this or how to fix it?

Thanks

well i mentioned this before in another thread and i'll say it to you although i am not sure if it will work for you, but it worked for the person that i helped that was having the problem...
when that problem was happening (the user was using mdk9.1) and i don't know if that makes a difference, but there machine was an 2400+ with a gig of ram so the specs were very well off and when the command "killall -15 magicdev" was issued at root to kill that daemon, everything was fine there on since...you can try it if you wish but i can't guaruntee you it will work...but it sounds like the same problem...
and if you are wondering what magicdev is well i'll give post the actually definition that i see on a site:
Quote:

Magicdev is a daemon that runs within the GNOME environment and
detects when a CD is removed or inserted. Magicdev handles running
autorun programs on the CD, updating the File Manager and playing
audio CDs.
so as you can see its not a big deal to kill this daemon to actually see if it is a problem....
