Question java web plugin problem


i just installed the j2re java web plugins (for runescape ) and i started a web page that required java. it said to download the appropiate plugin. i did that, and went back to the page that required java. it said to download the appropiate plugin again. having just done that and having installed successfully, i think theres something wrong. i use mozilla 1.4. anyone?

try adding the plugin to the mozilla plugin dir.

ln -s /usr/java/j2re1.4.2/plugin/i386/ns610-gcc32/libjavaplugin_oji.so /usr/local/mozilla/plugins/libjavaplugin_oji.so

if you havent already done so this should do the trick.

ill give it a try. i have to download version 1.4.2 first. maybe thats the problem. i only got 1.4.1. sun's site is NOT user-friendly. its so confusing.

The newer JRE will probably fix it.
Funny how that is the second time in as many days someone has pointed out that suns site is non user friendly, which I agree with entirely.
