java SDK install


Some errors appeared when I installed jsdk1.4 on redhat 8.0 which was embeded into Vmware.

error message:

The download file appears to be corrupted!

When you have downloaded it again, check the MD5 sum against the one on the sun website. They should match exactly. See "man md5sum" for more info.

Dear Iball:
First of all,thank you for your help! I have used the command in redhat and got md5 code.
Although this code is the same as original md5 code that post on SUN website,I unsuccessfully install jdk . Maybe my redhat has some problems.

PS:My redhat 8.0 embed into VMware workstation.

What is the error message you get now? Is it the same as before?

Did you download the rpm or the bin?

I have found the radical reason that causes unsuccess!!!My FTP Server has some problems.Many problems appeared when I use this FTP Server(Crob FTP Server) to transfer files from Windows to RedHat.Finally,Thanks for your help again!
