Java+Mozilla+Debian Woody=Arrgh!

Hi! Ive got java installed from sun and im trying to get mozilla to see it, but it's being silly. I have syslinked the java .so file to mozilla's plugin directory, and restared mozilla...with no luck. I have followed the very good directions found at this site - http://www.fiddlesticks.com/show383.html but am still up a creek. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

Maybe the permissions are wrong on the .so file? The permissions are set to 644 for my machine.
