java installation in linux

hi frnds,

this is gowtham. i want to install java 1.6 in rhel5.plz help me to this installation. can u plz send me the detailed procedure for installation.thanks in advance.

Go here, download the first one, "chmod +x" it, and then run it as root.

It's not that hard.
