Lightbulb java installation

I have installed java j2sdk_1.4.2 in /usr/java directory but when i cd to the dir i get the j2sdk sub directory with a man sub dir in it there is no bin sub dir how do i find it in my system in order to set its path please help.

How did you install the java package? If you keep having problems, I suggest you install using the rpms from .

Thanx i downloaded the rpm packages from the site then from their manual it stated that i create a directory in a dir like /usr/local which i did and unpacked the package (j2sdk_1.4.2.rpm.bin) then ran the rpm installation but after its through i dint get the bin sub dir. Hope am clear enough thanx for help

Why just use YAST? That's what it is there for.
