Hi guys

I downloaded java and have now a file called j2re-1_3_1_01-linux-i386-rpm.bin.

what do I do now? How can I enable java for my browsers?

doesnt netscape support java already? i mean in the default install?

I have the deflault browser from mandrake 8.1
dont have java

Solved that problem by using the search function. should have done that in the first place...

as a matter of interesst what I had to do was

chmod =x j2xxxxxxxxxxx.rpm.bin
and then ./j2 xxxxxxxx

and It worked immedeately all my browser support java now...
