Ive got a KDE login graphics problem ?

When I am at the KDE login screen and move the mouse around sometimes the whole screen becomes distorted and half of it hangs off the edge of the visible part of the monitor and other times about a quarter of the screen is really distorted with text that looks like its part of one of the user accounts. It never does it any other time and doesnt do it in windows, so I know its not the monitor, It only does it at the KDE login screen. Anyone ever experience anything like this?

No one has ever had this problem? Anyone know if the refresh rate for kdm changes or how I can adjust the resolution?
