Issues with System Monitor

I am running Fc1 linux-2.6.4
GNOME Version 2.4.0
System Monitor 2.4.1

Anyway My problem is this. I have System Monitor as a panel. The Mem and swap space Graphs, display nothing but the background color.

When i run System Monitor, from launcher, under the Resource Monitor tab, the graph displays nothing for Memory/swap history, and the accompinying text states 0k of 0-50k
(by 0-50k i mean it sometimes displays 0-3k and sometimes 0-40k...ect ect)

Any help>?

I am relitively new to linux.

maybe something is not right in your /proc. I guess the system monitor is using the /proc filesystem to get the info. check in your /proc if you have a meminfo file, if so, try "cat /proc/meminfo" from a terminal.

greetz,
