ISA Rockwell in Red HAT

These days I have installed Red Hat 7.0 on my computer... Okay...
Here is the problem : When I have tried to configure my modem ( a Rockwell @ 56kbs ISA) with kppp, it said that it can't find the modem or the modem is busy... Well, what seems to be the problem? Do I need extra drivers? I want to say that the person from whom I have bought this modem configured this modem in Red Hat 6.1 without any other drivers than the default ones...

Thx...

kppp munches arse.

try getting a connection using wvdial first, it's lower level, and just as easy to use

wvdialconf will attempt to find the modem, then edit the /etc/wvdial.conf file.

tell us if you can get online with that or not, and go from there

acid_kewpie: I have tried what you said but still it doesn't work...
paavaka : This modem was made before Conexant bought Rockwell Company... But I shall have a look at that URl... thx
P.S.:It is not a PCI modem!!! It's desgned for the ISA slot
