Question Is there such a thing?


Is there such a thing as a RH9 Service Pack to load all patches? Just wondering to see what is the easiest way to installing patches on my RH9 system...

well not that it really matters cause rh9 support ends next month (april 2004), but for the
time being, you can use "up2date" which is redhats updating utility ....
or install something like "apt-get" to do updating ...

Or you can get Gentoo and get all the updates you need with emerge sync && emerge -u world. Yeah, I like pimping Gentoo off. lol

For RPM-based distros (RH included, although I'd recommend Mandrake ), you can use Ximian's Red Carpet 2. It's a sweet app that allows you to download packages without having to worry about dependency problems yourself (just like apt-get for Debian).
