Is there anything like Quicktime for Linux?

Hey guys and gals -

Just wondering if there was anything that kind of works like a Quicktime plugin for Linux. I am running Galeon (sigh - it's the only one that lets me check school email) on RedHat 9/KDE. It would be really cool if I could find anything that allows me to look at nifty weather graphics/porn.

Peace
Michael

Wow that was pretty straight forward. Basically you want us to tell you what program will let you look at pr0n at school. That's a nice incentive to tell you...

You can download the web browser, FireFox : http://www.mozilla.org

And get MPlayer and the MPlayer plugin for FireFox. Then you can download / play whatever you want.

Do I still have to get firefox even though Galeon is built on the same code as Mozilla? If not, is there a place where I can get a plugin for either Galeon or Konqueror?

Peace,
Michael

im really sorry but kernel 2.4 on redhat won't let you look at porn, except in a text only browser (like lynx).
you'll have to upgrade to kernel 2.6
