Is there any planned support Belkin ups protocols with apcupsd?

Is there any planned support in "apsupsd" for the larger Belkin Dual Form Factor Small Enterprise UPS? Belkin seem to use a different communication protocol then the APC branded UPS. The Belkin 1000 VA does output Voltage and battery charge level but apcupsd can't read it
It seems that Belkin does not provide a linux version for this model. Since different models use different protocols the chances are that a different version would not work but it may be worth a go.
