is there any multiple playlist mp3 player ?

Imagine I have 3 lists of 1000 mp3. Let say: Classic, Rock, and Jazz, all three saved in proper .slt files.

To boost up the morning, I ll put Rock. In evening, I d put Classic.

With xmms, If I use 2 playlists, and swtich from R to C, the next day, it will restart list R from #1. Thats terribly ennoying. When I come back to R the next day, I want to play the track folowing the last heard one.

In fact, I want my 3 PL in 3 windows, and allow manual switch from one to an other. But, the player shall not do that automatically, but remember an index in each of them.

I have tried many xmms plugins ... are there other players ?
I need a Lirc compatible player, or at least possibility to use remote CLI control, so that I can use irexec ...

Your asking a lot of xmms or any player for that matter, I use xmms and mplayer. I found mplayer better for lists because I can generate easy to edit .txt files and create scripts for all my playlists depending on what mood I am in...Plus, it all works from CLI and can be controlled with a touch of a key... I have found nothing easier, to customize or use.

To get much more tailored for your need, you'll just have to write a program yourself...
