Is there any monitoring software for debian which I can view on windows
Right odd question here
But I want to view HDD,Ram,CPU,Net speeds etc... from my debian server But be able to view them on my home windows PC. So there anything out there which can do this?
If you look you might be able to find some free versions of similar type software, but these are ones that I have used.
Hey thanks for the reply, these seem more business like, all I mean is something like what rainmeter does on windows (but pulling from my local debian server)
Maybe look at http://www.nagios.org/, its free. Still quite a bit robust, I don't know of a simpler solution like the one you have for your windows box. Hopefully someone else here can post a follow up with some other suggestions.
http://www.nagios.com/products/nagioscore/ is the free version of nagios in case you cant find it on the site easily. Just an FYI, these products are used heavily in the IT world, learning any one of them would give you a big boost on your resume.

This looks great! thanks! I will give this one a go
I believe you would install Nagios on Debian using apt, then I think it has a web interface you'd open on the windows machine.
Yea I think so also after reading it, might have problems with my virtualmin setup tho not sure if I should give this the go head with my "little linux known"
