I didn't actually check that last guys link out, but the obvious suggestion is phpbb. Im sure you can find it on google, or it might be phpbb.org

Thanks for the reply guys. I have already loaded phpBB and trying to use it. I have set up the board also.

But I have one problem

My office is a group of 25 people with each person using a PC. I have a Linux server, in which I have loaded this. I having apache running in that server. So all the 25 people are able to access this bulletin board now. When members register, it is asking for a e-mail address to submit for verification. This 25 people are now in a different network, and not connected to any external network (like internet). Now how I can confirm the registration with mail, when there is no mail server in the network. Is there anyother way to confirm registration. if not tell me how run mail server in the same linux server, so that i will create a mail-id for everyone and ask them to use this for confirming registration.

Here I like to tell, I am using this 25 people office for testing. Our organisation has more than 2000 offices around the country. Once it is tested properly, I will like to start a bulletin board for our organisation.

if there is no external network, why do you need email confirmation anyway? it can be turned off in phpbb's administration panel so that new users need no confirmation.

youmight want to install postfix just because in my experience anyway when users registered names it gave you an e-mail error if youdont have it.

if you go to administration panel then go to configuration under general admin there should be a section where you canchoose user confirmation, admin confirmation or no confirmation, and postfix is just a mail server i think phpBB uses it for certain things whether you choose to use mail confirmation or not
