I got this error:

(II) NVIDIA(0): Setting mode "1280x1024"

(II) NVIDIA(0): Using the NVIDIA 2D acceleration architecture

*** be the reason for the server aborting.

Fatal server error:
Caught signal 11. Server aborting


Please consult the The X.Org Foundation support
at http://wiki.X.Org
for help.
Please also check the log file at "/var/log/Xorg.0.log" for additional information.

Before that I got an error that blackbox couldn't find a screen... So I removed the xterm and twm lines in the xinitrc files

Found the solution: my mouse wasn't loaded correctly...
