is the file "kcore" useful
 
I found the file /proc/kcore in my system , it is very large in size , is it OK to remove it ? thx.

The /proc part of the filesystem is a logical view of data. The files you see there are not really files, they do not take up any space on disk. The kcore "file" is an interface which programmers can use to access the system memory. I think you will find the /proc/kcore is the same size as the amount of RAM that you have currently installed.
