Is spyware a concern with Linux?

Let's put it that way :)

OpenSource products by definition wouldn't
benefit from being spyware ... semi-commercial
things like the add-driven opera could be
considered spyware (in a sense, advertising
based on cookies and such)...

But I don't think the risk / exposure is anywhere
NEAR to the world of winDOHs.

That's a 'figure of speech' ... traditionally NZ is
in MS hand ... I'd say that 98% of all IBM PC
compatible machines here run winDOHs of some
sort. Well, and I'm trying to show people the benefits
of using Linux - works very slowly, though ;)
