Is Linux capable of rd/wrt on Apple filesystems?

Thinking of buying an Apple in the future. I want to install a PPC version of Linux on it in case I don't like OS X. If I do, is Linux capable of reading and writing to partitions that use the OS X filesystem?

I don't know anything about mac filesystems, but the filesystems HOWTO will probably answer your question. Most likely, yes.

Thanks for the reply. I had been searching around for the answer for a while, not able to find anything. About an hour after my post, i just reworded my searches in google, and i found the answer I was looking for.

I guess this post is just another example of how usually the answer is right in front of you. Just have to ask the right quesions

You might want to take a look at Yellow Dog Linux, if you haven't already!

Not suprisingly, I found the answer spelled out exactly as I needed it within the Yellow Dog documentation
