is kompozer web based, or can I create a web page/s on my home device?

Dear all,
I am on a free course for dreamweaver(the local college does not do courses in Drupal, more's the pity) and I cannot use their 'resource centre', because dreamweaver does not work in said place, so I wondered if I could import deamweaver made files into Komposer and tweak from there. This assuming that both are based on html but I don't want to do it on the web.
Confused, I know I am.

Fred.

You can try. I don't know how dreamweaver saves its projects. If it's a bunch of html/css/javascript, etc files then I don't see a problem here. If, however, it saves it as a package with some dreamweaver-specific extension than you'll probably have to play with it a bit to extract the source files. I don't know if that's even possible.

Not to discourage you from attending your course, but if you want to learn how to develop websites you'd be much better off learning html/css/jquery or even CMS like Drupal/Joomla or Xmod. You're not going to learn much from Dreamweaver (apart from how to use dreamweaver). I know that your course is free, but if I were you, I wouldn't waste time on Dreamweaver.
This is, however, only my personal opinion so you have the perfect right to ignore it

dreamweaver

It seems you are right and dreamweaver does not open up as if it was just an overlay for html, i.e., built features are missing but it does open!
Really just to say thanks for replying.

Fred.
