Is it possible to have two different versions of GCC in the same system ??

In slackware i get a 3.3.6 as stable and then there is a 3.4.x as testing.

Can i have both versions installed (among with java , objc etc..) installed in my system or that could lead to serious implications ??

yes you'll need to install it to its own directory like...........
and when you compile something with it........
make CC=/opt/gcc-3.4x/bin/gcc
