With all the security issues around javascript lately, I want to know if disabling javascript from firefox via the about:config settings would be a problem? Or should No-script be a better option since it would give me control of which sites I trust if it uses javascript.
Some sites won't work properly with javascript disabled, but disabling it is a matter of personal preference. That said, I personally prefer running noscript on my own web browser.
No-script indeed is the better option. Not only for the fine-grained control but also because of other issues it checks for like plugin usage, cross-site scripting, click-jacking, HTTPS, HTTPS cookie usage, etc, etc.
