IRC Server Help
 

New to linux, but trying to learn. First off, im running Fedora Core 1. I've been trying to set up an IRC chat but haven't been successful yet. What would you guys recomend as one of the easiest / best IRC servers to set-up? The only one i've gotten to work some what is something called ngircd. I've followed all of the directions that i was given and i've gotten to to act like it's running and i can connect on that computer through x-chat, but if i try to connect anywhere else, it doesn't work.

Anyways, what I'm really trying to do is get an IRC chat running on my business' LAN so that people can join a section chat (systems, accounting, networking, etc.) and discuss things from office to office with out leaving their desks, even if they're on the phone. Thanks in advance for any help.

hybrid-irc I find to be pretty easy to setup and use, configure, etc.
