I'm not sure how easy it would be to accomplish something like this, but I thought I'd ask here and see if anyone has any ideas.
For anyone familiar with wikis or Wikipedia
, I'm trying to get something that will load each change made by an anonymous user in a new Firefox tab as they are made. There is an IRC channel (#enrc.wikipedia on freenode) that lists all the recent changes as they occur. Basically, I need to parse these, figure out the URL of the change, and load it in a new browser window. Alternatively, there is a web page
that does the same (lists recent changes). Someone has posted a "script" here
that can be used on mIRC to accomplish this, but it seems to be some kind of scripting language specific to mIRC. Does anyone know how I could accomplish this using Linux, Firefox, and Chatzilla/Xchat/BitchX as opposed to Windows, IE, and mIRC?
Thanks in advance.
