I was wondering if there any good iptables tutorials on the internet. I have no idea how to configure it or have even had a look at it. All i know is that it's a firewall right?

Please help :D
Thanks in advance

Go to:

www.tldp.org

and look for iptables.
Hope this helps!

You can also check here:

It has a pretty good tutorial I think.

If you want something that doesn't depend on the internet, I would highly suggest purchasing the book, Red Hat Linux Firewalls by Red Hat Press. I bought it when firewalling became my primary duty at work. Try to find a good deal on it though, as it cost me $60US new when I bought it. Well worth it though. I was totally clueless about iptables when I picked it up, now I admin 4 firewall machines protecting a mid-size corporate lan. It is a little dry unless you are into learning about packets and scripting, but the ultimate paper resource on iptables IMO.
