Iptables losing rules

Hey all

I'm trying to fix this but having no luck - basically, I've got Arno's firewall script, I run this which passes rules to Iptables... That works when I check Iptables but then about a minute later my Iptables has no rules again...

Has anyone run into this before? I'm running a reasonably clean FC1 install (when i say reasonable I mean the only thing I really do is development and browsing lol)...

I use Guarddog to keep my iptables. Seems to work fine.

K tried that but it's not really fixing the problem - arno works exactly the same... the problem is that my rules get flushed after a short while...

Chances are that fedora has rules of its own,
and a daemon that checks/sets them....

Have a look at service-config or whatever
the tool for the task is called these days.

Cheers,
Tink

P.S.: I hate OSes that think they know what's
good for you ... XP, RedHat, Mandrake :}

I checked redhat-config-securitylevel and it's set to enabled... so guessing it's not that... weird one huh

I've also tried upgrading iptables but still no change...

I would have thought quite the opposite!

If it's turned on, but you didn't specify rules within it,
that would be exactly the result I'd expect ;)

Cheers,
Tink
