ipsec tools 0.8 on Slackware 13.37

hello all
after two days having problems installing ipsec tools on a brand new slack (13.37) i finally made it. After all i still don't know wtf gone wrong and having this message
--------
In file included from ../../src/include-glibc/linux/pfkeyv2.h:9:0,
from ../../src/include-glibc/net/pfkeyv2.h:7,
from ../../src/include-glibc/netinet/ipsec.h:3,
from conftest.c:xx:
../../src/include-glibc/linux/types.h:13:2: warning: #warning "Attempt to use kernel headers from user space, see http://kernelnewbies.org/KernelHeaders"
---------
By the way the solution worked for me was to edit the
/ipsectoolsuntareddir/src/libipsec/Makefile
/ipsectoolsuntareddir/src/setkey/Makefile
/ipsectoolsuntareddir/src/racoon/Makefile
and remove the -Werror option from CFLAGS.
Still got the message but installation finished.....

Hello, I was configuring the IpSec-tools library, and i got the following error:
openSSl version is too old and must be 0.9... at least.
then i downloaded the version 1.0e of openssl source package then configure, ok make ok, and make install is ok too.
then configuring the ipsec-tools gives the same error of openssl version.
the command dpkg -d openssl gives the version 1.0e.
I've read somewhere that it could be that I haven't installed the development files of ssl, then installed the deb file for ssllib-dev then its ok but i got another warning error when compiling with make:
attempt to use kernel headers from user space.
also tried to remove the -werror option ...but still fail,
anybody can help me to understand what are these develeopment files and what are they for?
and if further help for the next error i would be thanxful.
