Ipod Nano...HOW TO INSTALL ON LINUX

I no longer run Windows XP. I run linux (fedora 4) I love it, but find it very confusing when I can not install anything, when all the installation programs are windows compatible. I love to exercise listening to music, I have both an MP3 Player and today I bought an Ipod Nano, I can not get anything to work. What am I doing wrong? I have WINE, but that doesn't seem to help either. How can I get my players to work? How do I get those programs to operate....Please HELP!
