IP based Internet Traffic monitoring

Hi Guys,

I am facing a really critical problem at work these days. We have around 125 users on our LAN and we were using 2 DSL connections with bandwidth of 256 Kbps + 128 Kbps. However, due to increase in internet usage requirement, we recently upgraded the 256 Kbps connection to 512 Kbps. But again, in 2 days the same old situation. The Internet bandwidth is getting choked during peak hours and I am not able to find out who is using all the bandwidth and whether someone is downloading huge files from the internet or its just many users are surfing at the same time..

I want a tool that would let me find out IP address based Internet Bandwidth consumption in real time so that I can locate the people who are overusing / misusing the internet for downloading stuff etc.

Is there any such free tool available which lets me monitor Internet usage in a LAN ? Has anyone amongst u implemented any similar tool in your LAN ?

I would appreciate if anyone can provide me details about any such software tool.

Thanx n Regards,

Amit
