Internet Explorer in Linux??
 

I know this my sound as the stupiest question out there. Why using Internet Explorer if there are such great browseres as firefox, mozilla, konkeror, opera, etc....? In fact it is an stupid question.

Well the reason is that I work developing web sites and we like it or not Internet Explorer is the most popular browser just because it cames in the most popular OS. I don't like either Internet Explorer or Windows, but my clients want their sites to work perfect under Internet explorer. They don't care about witch browser is the best, they want their clients to easily access their site.

Anyway I am to lazy to reboot my computer to windows. Uups I don't have windows anymore, at least in this machine :D . So I think about using wine, the problem is that I don't find an Internet explorer instaler that would run directly from my machine. I have to download it an use windows wizards. Has anyone try this before? Any hint would be help?

IE has been known to work under wine.

although it's a bit difficult to install the latest versions, yes, you can use wine to install IE. (you'll need all of windows dll's so wine will work fine..)

BTW, if you stick to pretty normal stuff, your pages should render well anyways. CSS2 you may have a problem with, but the other tools in your box should work fine. But, yeah, IE is good to have for testing.
