internet

ok i have the following problem

I connect with my usb modem to the internet and i can ping everything: my dns server, google etc.. but when i try to use mozilla or something like that i can't get anything in! is there some kind of firewall active in slack9? i just can't download any content to my computer, i can only ping...

i also get some errors with the uhci (something like that, i think it's usb related) does that have something to do with it?

i don't know i did a full install with slack9... don't know if it's compiled in the kernel then?

it gives me an error like this:

Code:
/etc/modules.conf is more recent than /lib/modules/2.4.20/modules.dep
/lib/modules/2.4.20/kernel/drivers/usb-uhci.0.gz: init_module: no such device

some more lines like this 2 or something

couldn't load usb_uhci module
