Internal Speaker isn't working

I have downloader program beep, but internal speaker doesn't work. I have tryed
setterm -blength 1
and
xset b on
but there was no changes. Maybe i didn't compile some kernel module which is responsible for use of internal speaker?

Thanks!

Does the speaker work during POST? If you don't hear a beep when you power on, you may want to ensure that it's connected. You might also want to check in your bios, as some have an option to disable the system speaker. These are the first couple things that came to mind...

Speaker is connected, and it's beeps every time i start computer.

When i try to run modprobe pcspkr i get the following error:
FATAL: Module pcspkr not found.

As i remember i haven't compiled that module... So that's the problem, there's no appropriate module to work with speaker..
