I'm having intermittent problems with ndiswrapper on my FC6 box. I've got a Netgear WG111T wireless USB card (108Mbps, Atheros chipset), so I've had to use the Windows drivers in combination with ndiswrapper to get the card working under Linux. Unfortunately, there seems to be an intermittent bug somewhere.
Every now and then, for no obvious reason, the wireless network on the card will just die. Very occasionally I can get it to work again by removing and reinserting the card and doing an ifdown and ifup on the interface. If that doesn't work, a reboot always fixes it, but it's a slightly irritating problem that I'd like to get to the bottom of, so I'd be grateful for any suggestions.
I'm running:
- Kernel: 2.6.18-1.2868.fc6 (the latest version)
- Ndiswrapper: ndiswrapper-1.27-5.fc6.at
- Netgear drivers: the version on the CD that came with the card
Thanks in advance.
