Interface for reiserfs in vmware
Hi:
I currently use foobar2000 under wine, but the minor caveat (if clear, non-skipping sound is desired) of not being able do anything else even somewhat computer-tasking has been irritating me. So I've decided to give vmware a try; the problem now is that I cannot access reiserfs, the partition on which my music is stored, with the windowsxp (sp2) I've installed. I tried using ReiserDriver, but I get a blue-screen when trying to access the drive.
My linuxquestion: is there a utility available that can mask one file system and say it's another? For example, I would be able to mask my reiserfs as a fat32 or ext3 (which I can access from windowsxp) partition, or even as an immense iso-image, without changing the original partition... I still have the option of testing the original windowsxp (without the service packs), but would rather not have to take such a time-consuming path.
Note: this utility does not need to be for windows; I would use this interface in linux, then point vmware to it.
Thanks,
Justin.
