I have installed new kernel(2.6.30-custom1) on fedora 11( 2.6.30.10-105.2.23.fc11.i686.PAE). It was successful. But, when I tried boot from new kernel it hangs (only fedora logo..).

I am using T500.. and my card info is

Can someone suggest a way to figure out which version is of driver is needed and how to install driver in customised kernel..??

and you absolutely must use fedora 11 ??
It is about to hit it's End Of Life in about 28 days
after 28 days there will be no farther support and no security updates .

also i take it you have blacklisted the kernel in yum so pup will not auto install a new kernel ?

so this is a laptop with 4 gig or more of ram and a 32 bit os on it ??

for the intel built in 3d chips all the drivers are in the kernel
