intel 810 chipset, PCI
Anyone know if it is possible to install Redhat 6.2 with the intel 810 chipset on a motherboard with only PCI slots?
I read that I need that with redhat 6.2 and the Intel 810 chipset, I need the 'agpgart' module, which means a different kernel i guess, but I am wondering if I only have PCI slots on the board, will it work... Intel has a support page on it, if anyone knows that would be awesome.. thx http://support.intel.com/support/gra...l810/30483.htm |
You'll need the agpgart to get the exteded functionality of the AGP bus. You can use it without, but you will get a performance hit. ow much depends on which card you are using and how much gets left behind by not using the AGP.
