Installing XFree86 from BSD ports

This isn't exactly a linux question, but hopefully somebody here has the knowledge to help me.

I am trying to install XFree86 on a FreeBSD system using the ports collection. I do this, just like it says on the freeBSD website:

# cd /usr/ports/x11/XFree86-4
# make all install clean

It downloads the files and It starts compiling for a while, and then I come back and there's a lot of:

***error code 1

on the screen. Does anyone know what this is and how I can fix this?

XFree86

It looks like your following the hand book. One thing Ive noticed when doing so, read the whole chapter and try to follow along because the ending should be in the middle or visa versa. Anyway, I havent tried it the schooly way in awhile. I usually add_pckg through /stand/sysinstall after "su". log onto the FTP site and download the new XFree86-4.x version than go through the grahical setup of the server. Visually choice the card and config the res and monitor Vsync. I would only go edit the file if I had a special card, not on the list. anyway, Let us know ill pop around l8tr
