What distro? Doesn't it come with precompiled versions of these? If not, have you checked the respective sites for the applications?

Cool

Ok, Im a true Noob here. but when i went through the installation it asked me if i wanted to install the X Window System and i told it not to because I thought it was going to boot into X (which wouldn't work with my video card...)

Does anyone how to check to see if i have it installed?
I found a page for configuring it, just need to figure out how to install my Video Driver...anyone know how?
and After I configre XFree86, do i have to install GNOME? or does X have its own file system? or is it just the basic display? (know what im saying? sorry)

THanks
~Matt
