Some versions -not sure about 10.2, but others certainly- have Xfce available as a standard package in the repository (and on the OpenSuSE DVD, if that is what you have - possibly not on the multi-cd version which is a bit cut down).
In which case you just have to use Yast to install it in the normal way (from the 'net or the DVD, depending on which is, for you, normal, and what you want).
After that, when you get to the login stage, its just a matter of going to the menu at the bottom of the screen (sessions?) and select Xfce. If you like it, set it as the default.
