Installing VLC palyer


can any body tell me how to install vlc player on RHEL 3 and from where to get it's rpm or source?
because on official vlc website they don't provide rpm for RHEL3

thanks in advance

You don't - RHEL3 is too old. You upgrade to RHEL5 and use up2date or CentOS 5 and use yum.

Otherwise - you need to compile it. you get the source from the official VLC website.
