Installing Ubuntu over Suse

I have XP & Suse linux 10.2 on my 40GB HDD. XP is in 35 GB while Suse is in 5 GB. Now I want to replace/overwrite Suse with my new stunning Ubuntu Distro.
How do I do it? Can I just overwrite it on 5GB partition? Will Ubuntu installer take care of the rest? I use AMD X2 processor with 1GB of RAM.

During installation, tell Ubuntu to install to the SuSE partition. Ubuntu should offer you the option of formating the partition, probably in the form of a check box. Select format, and Ubuntu will format the partition before installing.
