Unhappy Installing suse 10.3 on a pre-loaded XP

Sir,

I tried to install suse 10.3 in my desktop and failed.

Config details --

Processor-P-4 HT dual core
HDD-SATA-80GB
RAM-Zion-1GB DDR2 533 FSB
Monitor-LG Flatron L1515S
Graphics-ATI Radeon Xpress 200
Sound-Realtec

I must add that previously I tried to install other versions of non-debian Linux OS like RHEL 5.0, Ubuntu, Mandriva 2008 and a few others.

Except RHEL 5.0, it failed everytime.

Pl help

What exactly happens that causes the installation to fail?

Response to MS3FGX

Sir,

In the case of Mandriva 2008, after the bootable CD was run, the Message was "processor not found" and then the installation stopped.

In the case of ubuntu and Fedora 8, the message was "no processor found"

In the case of suse 10.1 as well as suse 10.3, the entire OS was seen installed. Then, when the command prompt was given to boot from hard disk, in various options like no apic or forced apic or else, the booting starts and continues for some time and then stops with message like "no ipv6 found matching" or something like this.

What actually happens really beats me.
