Sir,
In the case of Mandriva 2008, after the bootable CD was run, the Message was "processor not found" and then the installation stopped.
In the case of ubuntu and Fedora 8, the message was "no processor found"
In the case of suse 10.1 as well as suse 10.3, the entire OS was seen installed. Then, when the command prompt was given to boot from hard disk, in various options like no apic or forced apic or else, the booting starts and continues for some time and then stops with message like "no ipv6 found matching" or something like this.
What actually happens really beats me.
