Installing Sunbird- Instructions?

After dowloading the Sunbird Installer from this link -
http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.o...tk2+xft.tar.gz

I cannot find any file that looks like an installer script/binary. In addition, the README.txt file contains installation instructions for Mozilla, not Sunbird. Can anyone point me in the correct direction for finding step-by-step installation instructions? I am running Fedora Core 3 w/Fluxbox Window Manager, if that makes any difference.

Thank You,

Figured it out -
I found a post ( via google ), that explained I could simple move the extracted "sunbird" folder underneath /usr/local/, and then place a soft link to it underneath "/usr/bin/" to enable it to be run from the command line ( by putting it into the search PATH ). It works fine now.

You just extract the archive and place the extracted sunbird directory anywhere you want on your system e.g. /usr/local/sunbird and run the sunbird executable in there.

Thanks fortezza,
But I want to go further. I am addicted to the Alt+F2 Feature of Linux, so I want to be able to launch Sunbird from there instead of everytime having to open a ckonsole, redirect to the folder and then launch it from there. I would also like to have a link to it on my desktop. Can you tell me what I should do to be able to do this?
I have untarred the tar.gz file somewhere under my home folder. Do I have to move it to /usr/bin? Or is there another method?

Thanks in advance.

Keep in touch,
Bye for now,
Arpan D.

i think in order for that to work you gotta make a link to shell script in /bin ? i might be wrong because i don't know much about it. but thats what it looks like to me.

if anyone knows how to do this, help would be desired in this area for me and others

i run slackware 11 and my files are linked to /usr/bin
