[SOLVED] Installing Software on 64 bit Mandriva Linux 2010.1

I'm trying to install software on Mandriva Linux 2010.1. I've got a script to do so. I'm running into a problem where things are saying that they require perl-base i586 version. But I have the 64 bit version of it installed. Uninstalling it will break the system, so I can't do that, but the programs are wanting the i586 version. I got it further, but now it's complaining that it can't find libperl.so.

I suppose I will try finding out which package libperl.so resides in, so I can troubleshoot with that package.

It resides in perl-base.

I just found x86_64 packages that should be the equivalents of the i586 packages. I'll try doing the same as I've been doing with them.
