Can anyone help me I have downloaded the R.H.8.0 (Psyche )
from the linuxiso site and copied the images to disc but I can't get it to install. The disc's are o.k. I have checked them with the md5sum but when I try to install it it boots up displays the main screen with various optiont ( press enter for graphical installation or type text for text installation etc..) but from here alls I get is:

loading vmlinuz..................
loading initrd.img.................................
Ready.
Uncompressing Linux...O.K. Booting Kernel


Then it just stops there has anybody got any idea what my problem is

you may need to try a different boot image on a floppy.


there are a few in the images folder on cd 1

I Tried the floppy method and I got exactly the same result.

Thanx for advice but does anyone have anymore ideas PLEASE!

I do have one laptop that takes about 10 to 15 minutes to get past that point, and then it's ok.

after install it boots fine.
