Installing PEAR on a system which is configured '--without pear'
 

Hello Experts,

I have PHP5 configured on my FC5 system 'without pear', my current project requires me to use pear but im not able to use on my system. I can't again reinstall php5 with pear enabled because I dont want to mess up my perfectly configured system.

Is there a way to install & configure pear with php5 other than the conventional php5 installation route ?

If you installed php from source, then I can't see any other way to resolve your problem. You definitely would have to reconfigure php, enable pear support and reinstall.
