Installing OpenGL in Ubuntu 7.10

I cannot figure out how to install OpenGL or anything similar. I have Wine, the Windows emulator, but I still can't run programs with advanced graphics. It says I need OpenGL. I know that's for graphics, but thats about it. Anyone know how to fix it? thanks

You already have OpenGL, but what it means is that your Graphics Card is not supporting
OpenGL. 1) the driver for your card is not installed or 2) the /etc/X11/xorg.conf is
not updated ....or both 1) and 2)
