Installing onto a RAID array..
Hi. I'm looking to install Debian (amd64 unofficial version) on a machine with an intel raid controller.
It's not going quite as I expected. I've been through the RAID setup and configured an RAID1 array from the two (identical) disks, but when I boot into the debian installer, it still presents me with two disks to install on. I thought that I'd be offered only one disk (with the other disk being a mirror of the first)? Do I need to install specific drivers for this controller, and if so how do I configure these drivers in the installer? James |
There might be something about this in the Debian forum.
From what I know of installs, there are different kernel options at boot. Did you try one of those? like raid.s or something? |
Hmm. didn't see an option for raid. Pretty sure there wasn't one :(
